About the Project
PowerShare was founded in Jan 2021 with the aim of combatting this lack of inclusivity in the Indian entrepreneurship ecosystem by helping underserved students study business, entrepreneurship, and management through non-traditional methods. Through engaging resources, collaboration with school teachers, and contextualised teaching strategies, Powershare aims to help foster the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation for students from all backgrounds, so as to encourage innovations that are rooted in community development.
We have designed an original, 10-module curriculum on business studies, entrepreneurship, and the different aspects of managing an entrepreneurial project like conducting market research, how to do a SWOT analysis, identifying opportunities and challenges, strategies for marketing and sales, making an investment pitch, and so on. We work with partner schools to deliver this curriculum to students from low-income communities and marginalized backgrounds, and also organize a virtual business planning and entrepreneurship competition in which students from partner schools can participate and present their entrepreneurial ideas to a panel of judges and receive feedback.
